In this next chapter of The Story, we find King David, the “man after God’s own heart” making some really bad choices. His journey down this road away from God is a familiar one that starts with a desire to do something you know is wrong, convincing yourself it will be okay, doing it and then rationalizing to yourself that you were justified in your actions. In David’s case, he was confronted with and was convicted of his sin. David then begins his road to recovery from sin. This sermon is not about sin (we already know what that is) but about how one can recover from sin.
