One of the great eternal questions is “what is truth.” Many will tell you there is no absolute truth, but many truths. And to be honest, if someone has it set in their mind that something is true, for them, their truth will be an absolute truth unless of course they discover it isn’t. However, we don’t often take it well when we find out our truth isn’t a truth at all. Sometimes continuing to believe in the untruth rather than admit that we have been wrong.
In John’s gospel, he spends a lot of time talking about truth. He begins his gospel by establishing that Jesus is the embodiment of truth, that He came from the Father “full of grace and truth” (John 1:14) and that “grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” (John 1:17). As Christians, people of “The Way”, our journey begins with that truth and it will be that truth that will keep us going on our way in “The Way”. Please join me in discovering what Jesus has to say about “The Way of Truth.”
